Executive Board Member

I was incredibly inspired by Pierre’s work as a patient at UCSF Benioff Children’s hospital and am thrilled to have the opportunity to help advance one of his important legacies to make hospital stays for children a better experience.

Kristen Barbarics received her BA in English from Boston University, her EdM from Harvard University and her MBA from Simmons College, where she was a Dean's Merit Scholar. Currently, she is Director of Development and Alumni at Town School for Boys, an independent K-8 school in Pacific Heights. In her position, she serves as a senior member of the school's administration team and is responsible for all aspects of fundraising, as well as alumni engagement.

Previous to this, Kristen was Director of Development at Benioff Children's Hospital, where she became involved in the work of Pierre's Birthday Fund and co-created the California Childhood Cancer Coalition. Kristen also held senior fundraising roles at Brigham and Women's Hospital, Boston Children's Hospital and Harvard University. She is a member of the advisory board of Aspire Schools. She lives in Pacific Heights and enjoys spending time with friends, pilates, and traveling.
